What You'll Do8
- 1Deliver comprehensive speech therapy evaluations and treatments for residents with communication and swallowing disorders in a sub-acute skilled nursing setting
- 2Collaborate with rehab therapists and nursing staff to develop and adjust individualized care plans
- 3Document patient progress accurately using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and electronic documentation systems
- 4Manage a flexible per diem schedule to cover facility needs and patient volumes
- 5Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs to support independence
- 6Coordinate with the rehab director to ensure timely and high-quality care delivery
- 7Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary team decisions
- 8Adapt therapy approaches based on patient response and clinical judgment
Requirements7
- 1Hold a current Speech Language Pathologist license in Massachusetts or be license-eligible
- 2SLP-CCC certification preferred, but CFY candidates are welcome to apply
- 31+ years of experience in a skilled nursing or sub-acute setting is a plus
- 4Demonstrate strong computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- 5Have experience with electronic documentation systems
- 6Show attention to detail and timeliness in all documentation
- 7Work effectively in a collaborative team environment
