Speech-Language Pathologist, School-Based (Phoenix)
Overview
You will own speech therapy services for a K-12 caseload in Phoenix schools for the 2026-2027 year, driving student communication gains. You will work inside a collaborative team of SLPs, teachers, and administrators, with mentorship for Clinical Fellows. What You'll Do7
- 1Assess students' speech and language needs using standardized tools and clinical observation to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- 2Deliver direct therapy to students with articulation, fluency, voice, and language disorders, tailoring sessions to individual goals.
- 3Collaborate with teachers and parents to integrate communication strategies into classroom routines and home environments.
- 4Document student progress, write IEP reports, and attend IEP meetings to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- 5Consult with educational staff on strategies that support students' communication in academic settings.
- 6Monitor and adjust therapy plans based on data and student response, ensuring measurable progress.
- 7Coordinate with the district team to manage caseloads and scheduling efficiently.
Requirements5
- 1Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- 2Active Arizona SLP license or ability to obtain before the start date.
- 3ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply.
- 4Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required.
- 5Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff.
