What You'll Do7

  • 1Assess students' speech and language needs using standardized tools and clinical observation to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • 2Deliver direct therapy to students with articulation, fluency, voice, and language disorders, tailoring sessions to individual goals.
  • 3Collaborate with teachers and parents to integrate communication strategies into classroom routines and home environments.
  • 4Document student progress, write IEP reports, and attend IEP meetings to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • 5Consult with educational staff on strategies that support students' communication in academic settings.
  • 6Monitor and adjust therapy plans based on data and student response, ensuring measurable progress.
  • 7Coordinate with the district team to manage caseloads and scheduling efficiently.

Requirements5

  • 1Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • 2Active Arizona SLP license or ability to obtain before the start date.
  • 3ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply.
  • 4Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required.
  • 5Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff.
