Speech Language Pathologist, Early Intervention Pediatrics
Overview
You will own speech therapy for infants and toddlers across Sacramento, driving developmental progress through home-based Early Intervention services. You join a multidisciplinary team of SLPs, OTs, PTs, and child development specialists serving children from birth to three. With flexible scheduling, paid admin time, and a tech stipend, you build your own caseload while receiving professional support. This role stands out with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and up to $85/hour.
What You'll Do7
- 1Conduct developmental assessments and provide speech therapy using the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon) in home and community settings.
- 2Follow each child's IFSP and collaborate with families to build strategies that hit developmental milestones.
- 3Utilize a family-centered coaching approach to boost caregiver confidence and generalize progress across environments.
- 4Deliver services in natural settings: homes, daycare centers, and community locations, plus virtual sessions.
- 5Perform re-assessments and write bi-annual progress reports for each child.
- 6Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state regulations.
- 7Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to align therapy goals with child development services.
Requirements7
- 1California Speech Language Pathology license.
- 2Pediatric experience required; Early Intervention experience preferred.
- 3Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
- 4Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
- 5Excellent written and oral communication.
- 6Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
- 7Comfortable with home visits and travel within Sacramento area.
Salary Insight
