What You'll Do6
- 1Conduct developmental assessments and deliver services using the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon) within the first 30 days.
- 2Follow each child's IFSP and partner with families to develop strategies that hit specific developmental goals.
- 3Coach caregivers with a family-centered approach, building their confidence and skills for generalized progress.
- 4Provide services in natural environments: homes, daycare centers, and community settings, with virtual options available.
- 5Re-assess children and write progress reports on a bi-annual schedule, maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- 6Keep client information confidential under state and federal regulations, using electronic signatures for documentation.
Requirements5
- 1Master’s degree in child development, early childhood education, teaching, or related field (required for Orange County).
- 2Alternative: Special Education Teaching Credential.
- 31+ years of early intervention experience preferred.
- 41+ years of home-based service delivery preferred.
- 5Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with diverse families and children.
