What You'll Do10
- 1Build lesson plans and instructional materials aligned to IEP goals and district standards to drive student growth
- 2Design and implement evidence-based instructional strategies and management techniques for diverse learners IEP goals
- 3Lead data collection and analysis of student achievement using multiple tools to adjust instruction within 90 days
- 4Collaborate with parents and school staff to monitor progress and communicate student outcomes
- 5Utilize district textbooks and curriculum guides for planning and delivery of instruction
- 6Develop positive classroom and campus management in accordance with policies and regulations
- 7Create high-quality instructional materials and assessments aligned with learning objectives and delivery of instruction
- 8Incorporate higher level thinking strategies and real-life applications into lessons
- 9Employ technology or instructional media to enhance learning experiences
- 10Establish and maintain professional relationships with teachers, administrators, parents, and students
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field
- 2Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate appropriate for subject area
- 3Foundations of special education coursework, behavior management, assessment methods, inclusive teaching practices
- 4Experience implementing IEPs and working with students with disabilities
- 5Strong communication with parents and school personnel
- 6Ability to manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment
- 7Knowledge of IEPs and de-escalation techniques
- 8Willingness to participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary discussions
- 9Ability to lift up to 50lbs and support students during activities
- 10Pass a fingerprint clearance and comply with district equal opportunity policies
