What You'll Do11

  • 1Manage daily production preparation and presentation of all food for hotel restaurants and room service to ensure quality consistent with HEI standards
  • 2Lead kitchen staff in production preparation and presentation while maintaining safe sanitary work environments
  • 3Schedule and maintain kitchen equipment and sanitation systems to meet regulatory requirements
  • 4Monitor labor and food costs while preparing reports to ensure budget adherence
  • 5Promote accident prevention programs to reduce liability and associated expenses
  • 6Assist Executive Chef in menu development and seasonal programming
  • 7Handle all HR functions including recruitment training and performance evaluations
  • 8Develop and implement cost strategies for complex food and beverage operations
  • 9Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve profitability and quality targets
  • 10Ensure compliance with health safety regulations and corporate policies
  • 11Adapt communication styles to effectively interact with diverse audiences

Requirements11

  • 12+ years of post-high school education with culinary training preferred
  • 2Five+ years of relevant hospitality experience
  • 3Strong leadership abilities to motivate and develop kitchen staff
  • 4Proficiency in managing budgets and controlling food costs
  • 5Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 6Ability to work effectively under time constraints
  • 7Experience with hotel operations including marketing and labor relations
  • 8Knowledge of hospitality law and quality assurance programs
  • 9Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
  • 10Certification such as CPC Card or BCBA preferred
  • 11U.S. military experience welcome
