S&OP Analyst, Supply Chain Planning
Overview
Own the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process for Tractor Supply Company's supply chain, balancing cost, service, and capacity across a network of vendors, transportation, distribution centers, and stores. Monitor key metrics using visualization tools and S&OP systems, identify capacity risks across time horizons, and drive actionable decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute mitigation strategies and maintain the integrity of the supply chain digital twin. This role offers direct exposure to leadership and the chance to shape strategic planning in a retail supply chain.
What You'll Do8
- 1Manage the S&OP process, including continuous improvement initiatives for demand, supply, and capacity alignment.
- 2Monitor status of key supply chain metrics and use visualization tools to communicate insights across the organization.
- 3Develop and analyze multiple scenarios to mitigate capacity risks across vendors, transportation, DCs, and stores, weighing operational and financial tradeoffs.
- 4Present recommendations to leadership and coordinate cross-functional execution of actions to maintain continuous merchandise flow.
- 5Prepare weekly S&OP meetings, including information generation, preread preparation, facilitation, and follow-up on action items.
- 6Maintain integrity of the supply chain digital twin via S&OP Systems, ensuring accurate demand forecasts, space and throughput capacities, and labor rates.
- 7Lead cross-functional processes and leverage robotic process automation to dispose of end-of-season inventory and unproductive stock efficiently.
- 8Collaborate with other supply chain departments to ensure smooth flow of merchandise and resolve capacity constraints.
Requirements9
- 13-5 years of supply chain experience, with a focus on planning or operations.
- 2Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in Supply Chain Management or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
- 3Proficient with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- 4Ability to learn and utilize other supply chain tools and systems.
- 5Experience with S&OP processes or forecasting tools is a plus.
- 6Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate tradeoffs and recommend actions.
- 7Effective communication skills to facilitate cross-functional meetings and present to leadership.
- 8Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment (remove generic claims).
- 9Physical ability to perform job duties including sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 20 pounds, and occasional driving.
