Solutions Engineer, Physical Security Systems
Overview
You will own the technical design and delivery of low-voltage physical security systems for enterprise clients, translating requirements into code-compliant, profitable designs. Digi Security Systems is a leader in video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection, and you will serve as the technical backbone for every sale. You will collaborate with Account Managers, field teams, and partners, and your designs will directly impact project success. This role demands 5+ years in commercial security systems and deep expertise in CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design site-specific low-voltage systems for CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection, ensuring code compliance and profitability.
- 2Create detailed technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD or Bluebeam Revu.
- 3Conduct on-site walks to assess conditions and deliver accurate quotes.
- 4Deliver product demos and walkthroughs via remote webinars and onsite presentations.
- 5Engage with partners early in the sales cycle to understand needs and position solutions.
- 6Track project opportunities in ConnectWise Manage, ensuring timely quotes and designs.
- 7Support Account Managers during quoting by analyzing customer requirements and specs.
- 8Assist with demo system deployments and answer field team implementation questions.
- 9Attend pre-bid meetings for the construction bid market as required.
Requirements12
- 15+ years in electronic security systems or low-voltage electrical field.
- 2Strong technical knowledge of CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection components.
- 3High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 4Clear verbal and written communication.
- 5Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- 6Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- 7Physical ability to stand for hours and navigate job sites.
- 8Physical ability to use a computer for extended periods.
- 9Willingness to travel to customer sites.
- 10Valid driver's license with clean record.
- 11Preferred: Experience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu.
- 12Preferred: Experience with ConnectWise Manage or similar ticketing platform.
