Soldering Technician, PCB Assembly & Aerospace
Overview
You will assemble and solder PCB boards for a leading aerospace company in West Los Angeles. Work in a prototype lab with a tight-knit team of assemblers and technicians. What You'll Do8
- 1Solder through-hole and surface-mount components onto PCB boards using hand soldering and rework tools.
- 2Assemble prototype units from engineering drawings and blueprints, ensuring precise placement and alignment.
- 3Inspect completed assemblies against IPC-A-610 standards and perform rework as needed.
- 4Follow J-STD-001 certification requirements for all solder joints and wire connections.
- 5Debug and troubleshoot faulty assemblies by testing circuits and replacing defective components.
- 6Maintain a clean and organized workbench, documenting daily progress and any issues.
- 7Collaborate with engineers to refine assembly processes and improve yield.
- 8Meet production schedules while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Requirements8
- 11+ year of soldering or prototype assembly experience with PCB boards.
- 2J-STD-001 certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
- 3Ability to read and interpret blueprints or assembly drawings.
- 4IPC-A-610 certification preferred but not required.
- 5Experience with PCB rework and desoldering techniques.
- 6Steady hand and attention to detail for fine-pitch soldering.
- 7Availability for 1st shift (8am-5pm) with overtime as needed.
- 8Must pass a background check and drug screen.
