What You'll Do8

  • 1Solder through-hole and surface-mount components onto PCB boards using hand soldering and rework tools.
  • 2Assemble prototype units from engineering drawings and blueprints, ensuring precise placement and alignment.
  • 3Inspect completed assemblies against IPC-A-610 standards and perform rework as needed.
  • 4Follow J-STD-001 certification requirements for all solder joints and wire connections.
  • 5Debug and troubleshoot faulty assemblies by testing circuits and replacing defective components.
  • 6Maintain a clean and organized workbench, documenting daily progress and any issues.
  • 7Collaborate with engineers to refine assembly processes and improve yield.
  • 8Meet production schedules while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Requirements8

  • 11+ year of soldering or prototype assembly experience with PCB boards.
  • 2J-STD-001 certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • 3Ability to read and interpret blueprints or assembly drawings.
  • 4IPC-A-610 certification preferred but not required.
  • 5Experience with PCB rework and desoldering techniques.
  • 6Steady hand and attention to detail for fine-pitch soldering.
  • 7Availability for 1st shift (8am-5pm) with overtime as needed.
  • 8Must pass a background check and drug screen.
