Software Engineer, AI & Full Stack
Overview
At Flow, you will build software that powers our living communities, serving thousands of residents and operators across condominiums, hotels, and multifamily residences. You will join our Engineering team, the center of our technology platform and operations ecosystem, and work directly with business leaders and cross-functional teams. This role blends software engineering with product thinking, using AI and modern tools to create practical, high-impact solutions. You will own problems end-to-end, from stakeholder discovery to rollout, and have the autonomy to shape architectural decisions.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build and maintain software, workflow automations, and AI-enabled products like Python and TypeScript that improve operator and resident experiences.
- 2Partner with operations, marketing, and leasing teams to translate pain points into scalable solutions.
- 3Move across the stack—backend, frontend, data, and infrastructure—using Go and React as needed.
- 4Lead experiments to validate ideas, measure impact, and iterate rapidly.
- 5Embed with business functions to devise and implement process improvements.
- 6Own problems end-to-end, including stakeholder discovery and workflow mapping.
- 7Document system design decisions and explain tradeoffs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- 8Use AI coding assistants like Claude Code and Cursor to accelerate development while maintaining quality.
Requirements10
- 13+ years building software products or internal tools.
- 2Solid backend fundamentals with Python or Go.
- 3Willingness to work across the stack, including frontend and data.
- 4Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
- 5Hands-on experience with AI tools like Claude Code and Cursor.
- 6Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to solve workflow issues.
- 7Strong shell scripting skills and comfort with TypeScript.
- 8Experience with relational, vector, and graph databases.
- 9Excellent written communication for documentation and AI prompts.
- 10Understanding of building reliable, scalable systems.
