Staff Software Engineer, Transform & AI Workflows
Overview
You will architect the core platform for FloQast Transform, the centralized hub where accountants build and manage AI Agents. At scale, this platform powers automation for over 3,500 global accounting teams. You will design distributed systems, AI Agent infrastructure, and visual workflow builders that are scalable and resilient. Partnering with Product and Design, you will translate ambiguous goals into technical roadmaps. This role defines the technical North Star and mentors senior engineers, driving step-function improvements in agentic accounting automation.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and deliver core platform capabilities for FloQast Transform, including AI Agent infrastructure and visual workflow builders, ensuring scalability and resilience.
- 2Lead high-level design discussions to resolve complex trade-offs in distributed systems, setting engineering best practices across the automation ecosystem.
- 3Partner with Product and Design to convert ambiguous business goals into executable technical roadmaps for agentic accounting automation.
- 4Mentor senior engineers, fostering deep technical curiosity and high-performance execution.
- 5Own the technical strategy for AWS-based backend services, Node.js APIs, and MongoDB data models.
- 6Drive adoption of platform-first design and secure, compliant SaaS architectures.
- 7Build for business impact, solving real customer pain points for accounting teams.
- 8Turn napkin-sketch ideas into production-ready reality through technical clarity and influence.
