SS&C Advent`s financial solutions are evolving into an Agentic AI Framework. We seek a Director to lead the design and scaling of a production-grade multi-tenant platform enabling AI agent workflows across finance and healthcare. This hybrid role blends flexibility with strategic impact.
What You'll Do11
- 1Define and execute the technical roadmap for the AI agent platform focusing on multi-agent orchestration and LLM integration
- 2Architect enterprise-grade multi-tenancy security and scalability solutions
- 3Drive platform standardization across agent frameworks like LangGraph and MCP protocol
- 4Evaluate emerging AI technologies and make build versus buy decisions
- 5Lead a team of 8-15 platform engineers mentoring backends infrastructure and AI/ML specialists
- 6Establish engineering best practices including code reviews and CI/CD pipelines
- 7Foster cross-functional collaboration with product data science and business stakeholders
- 8Own platform reliability availability and performance SLAs while managing dependencies across teams
- 9Make architectural decisions using DACI and ADR frameworks
- 10Champion developer experience through APIs SDKs and self-service tooling
- 11Ensure security compliance and audit requirements for AI agent deployments
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading platform engineering teams
- 35+ years experience with multi-agent orchestration frameworks
- 42-5 years background in financial services or regulated industries
- 51 year hands-on experience with Model Context Protocol
- 6Proficiency in Python FastAPI and asynchronous patterns
- 7Expertise in machine learning integration and prompt engineering
- 8Knowledge of distributed systems microservices and event-driven architecture
- 9Familiarity with Kubernetes Docker and Terraform for cloud native infrastructure
- 10Demonstrated ability to ship platform products used by multiple teams
- 11Strategic leadership experience beyond team-level management
