Skilled Cook, Weekend Shift in Skilled Nursing Facility
Overview
Prepare tasty, attractive meals for residents at a skilled nursing facility, meeting dietary orders and replacing items as needed. You'll manage food stock, keep surfaces clean, and follow sanitation standards. Work weekends with a supportive team, with pay $17-$20 per hour. What You'll Do8
- 1Cook meals that follow physician orders, including mechanical soft and pureed textures, and substitute items when needed.
- 2Stock and label food items, ensuring freshness and proper rotation.
- 3Cover and store unused food to meet quality and safety standards.
- 4Clean work surfaces during shifts, wipe counters, mop floors, and complete the daily cleaning schedule before shift end.
- 5Assemble meal trays or plates, ensuring correct portions and presentation.
- 6Follow kitchen protocols for food handling, storage, and sanitation.
- 7Coordinate with dietary team to meet resident preferences within dietary restrictions.
- 8Monitor food inventory and report low supplies to supervisor.
Requirements8
- 12+ years cooking experience in large quantities.
- 21+ year in skilled nursing facility preferred.
- 3Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
- 4Valid Food Handlers Card required.
- 5Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
- 6Knowledge of mechanical soft and pureed food textures.
- 7Physically able to stand, lift, and move in a kitchen environment.
- 8Must be available weekends from 11:00am to 7:30pm.
