Site Superintendent Underground Utilities, Tampa
Overview
You will own field operations for underground utility projects across Central Florida, directing crews to deliver on schedule and within budget. Working with BRW Contracting, a full-service site development firm with 20+ years in the market, you will manage $0.5M-$5M projects simultaneously. You will coordinate with clients, inspectors, and the General Superintendent to enforce OSHA safety standards and code compliance. This role stands out for its hands-on nature, requiring you to operate heavy equipment and work alongside your team.
What You'll Do8
- 1Direct field personnel daily to hit project milestones on schedule, within budget, and to spec.
- 2Control job site expenditures for labor, equipment, and materials, keeping field operations under budget.
- 3Maintain respectful, productive relationships with clients and their representatives.
- 4Identify legitimate change order situations and work with estimating to build proposals.
- 5Enforce OSHA compliance for all employees, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- 6Coordinate inspections and building code requirements with local authorities.
- 7Communicate progress and resource needs with the General Superintendent and Operations Manager.
- 8Operate heavy equipment as needed on active job sites.
Requirements8
- 110+ years of progressive field construction experience, with 5+ years as a superintendent.
- 2Hands-on experience with underground utilities, including storm, sanitary, and water lines.
- 3Ability to operate heavy equipment like excavators and loaders.
- 4Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project for scheduling and reporting.
- 5Track record of managing multiple $0.5M-$5M projects simultaneously.
- 6Willingness to work on-site as a working superintendent, enduring weather and physical demands.
- 7Clean driving record for company truck use.
- 8Pass pre-employment drug screening.
