Commercial Construction Superintendent, Ground-Up Projects
Overview
You will lead ground-up commercial construction projects from start to finish, owning schedule, quality, and site safety in the Tampa area. You will coordinate subcontractors, inspections, and stakeholder communications while tracking progress in Procore. You will work directly with owners, architects, and the project manager to resolve conflicts on-site. This role stands out for its focus on U.S. ground-up experience, requiring OSHA 30 certification and offering travel across local and national projects.
What You'll Do9
- 1Lead on-site construction efforts, reading plans and specifications to ensure work matches drawings and codes.
- 2Own the master construction schedule, updating it weekly with subcontractors, PMs, and stakeholders using Procore.
- 3Conduct daily and weekly meetings with subcontractors to coordinate activities, resolve conflicts, and keep work moving.
- 4Verify material deliveries align with the schedule, preventing delays and staging issues on site.
- 5Resolve conflicts with owners, architects, and inspectors in real time, then report any unresolved issues to the Project Manager.
- 6Document daily progress with logs, photos, and reports in Procore, submitting all required paperwork on time.
- 7Drive project closeouts by compiling punch lists, coordinating inspections, and ensuring all items are completed.
- 8Champion safety on site by enforcing OSHA 30 standards and local regulations, conducting regular site walks.
- 9Coordinate with local officials and inspectors to pass all required approvals and inspections.
Requirements10
- 15+ years as a Commercial Construction Superintendent, with a focus on U.S. ground-up projects.
- 2MUST HAVE 5+ years of U.S. commercial ground-up experience.
- 3Valid OSHA 30 certification.
- 4Hands-on experience with Procore for daily logs, schedules, and reporting.
- 5Reliable personal transportation for daily site visits and travel.
- 6Ability to create and maintain a project schedule, reviewing it weekly with subcontractors and stakeholders.
- 7Strong technical skills in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and document management systems.
- 8Solid knowledge of safety procedures, regulations, and building codes.
- 9Willingness to travel locally and nationally as required.
- 10Authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
