Site Safety Design Coordinator, CAD & NYC Building Code
Overview
You will own site safety plan production and design coordination for NYC construction projects. Work with AutoCAD and REVIT to draft logistics drawings and file with the DOB. Join a certified team of Licensed Site Safety Managers and Coordinators serving top developers. Your work directly protects workers and ensures regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do10
- 1Manage projects from start to finish, including site visits, client communication, and drafting site safety plans and construction logistics dwgs with AutoCAD.
- 2Lead a team overseeing project design, construction logistics, and administration.
- 3Review DOB-CSC unit objections and maintain Building Code, client preferences, and design intent.
- 4Prepare site safety plans and file with DOB.
- 5Meet with NYC Department of Buildings Plan Examiners to obtain approvals of Site Safety Plans.
- 6Balance CAD drafting for alterations, facade repairs, and new buildings with project management and coordination.
- 7Perform quality assurance reviews of drawing sets.
- 8Conduct site visits for field measurements and drawing research.
- 9Develop presentation materials, including plans, diagrams, and details.
- 10Communicate with clients and prepare daily and weekly reports.
Requirements10
- 12-5 years architectural design and CAD drafting experience.
- 21+ year in project coordination or management.
- 3Proficiency in CAD software and AutoCAD experience required.
- 4REVIT knowledge is a plus.
- 5Working knowledge of NYC Building Code Chapter 33, OSHA, NYC Fire Code, and NYC DOT regulations.
- 6Ability to read and understand construction plans and drawings.
- 7Microsoft Word, Adobe Reader, and Excel experience required.
- 8Complex problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- 9Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 10Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
