Site Director- Washington Beech
Overview
The After School Director leads the OST program under the supervision of the Program Administrator and Child Development and Out-of-School Time Leadership Team. This role focuses on providing quality academic social emotional health and wellness services while modeling respect and responsibility.
What You'll Do11
- 1Prioritize child safety while emphasizing personal safety and emotional well being through positive guidance techniques
- 2Develop maintain quality program aligned with YMCA mission and philosophy including schedules curriculum supervision staff meetings professional development parent meetings and special events
- 3Ensure personnel payroll file maintenance and EEC paperwork compliance including QRIS and state initiatives
- 4Maintain accurate attendance children files evaluations and regulatory reporting
- 5Manage participant transportation in coordination with Business Manager/Bookkeeper
- 6Perform additional duties as directed by supervisor or leadership team
- 7Design classroom curricula fostering skill growth self awareness group relations and character development
- 8Adhere to EEC licensing standards create inclusive culture communicate with parents and community networks
- 9Position YMCA as community resource and asset
- 10Lead staff implement programs that support children families and community needs
- 11Demonstrate motivation energy responsibility and positive attitude as role model
Requirements11
- 15+ years experience directing after school programs
- 2Knowledge of physical demands including standing walking using hands handling tools and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
- 3Strong vision abilities including close distance and adjustment
- 4Qualified by Department of Early Education and Care and Department of Public Health regulations
- 5Understanding of community services and resource connection skills
- 6Extensive urban community school experience
- 7Familiarity with school based programming and Boston Public Schools goals
- 8Commitment to mission of designated BPS school and YMCA program
- 9Ability to facilitate EEC regulations
- 10Dedication to lifelong education and dedication to student development
- 11Experience working with diverse populations

$52 - $60k per year
