You'll own shipping and receiving for Wood Designs, a 40+ year furniture manufacturer in Monroe, NC. You'll move finished goods and raw materials between factory and distribution, using forklifts and barcode scanners to keep inventory accurate. What You'll Do9
- 1Load, unload, and wrap furniture on delivery trucks for ground and LTL shipping.
- 2Mark and label containers, tags, or products using marking tools.
- 3Drive forklifts to transport materials; training and certification provided.
- 4Scan items with handheld barcode scanners to maintain accurate inventory.
- 5Pick, pack, and ship orders according to written or verbal instructions.
- 6Check in returns and verify damages for accurate record keeping.
- 7Organize inventory for easy retrieval as new orders arrive.
- 8Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools.
- 9Maintain a clean and safe work area, following quality and safety procedures.
Requirements7
- 118+ years old and authorized to work in the US.
- 21+ year production or warehouse experience preferred.
- 3Basic math and communication skills required.
- 4Ability to lift heavy items and stand for shifts.
- 5Forklift experience preferred; certification available.
- 6Commitment to work schedule and prompt arrival.
- 7Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with good work ethic.
Salary Insight
