Shift Leader, QSR & Team Management
Overview
You will run the shift as the on-site leader for a Jersey Mike's franchise, directing a crew of 2-5 people to deliver fast, high-quality subs and exceptional customer service. You will own the store's daily execution, from opening to closing, ensuring cleanliness, food standards, and team performance. Working under the GM/AGM, you will coach staff, enforce policies, and build sales through community engagement. This role demands ServeSafe certification and the ability to operate the slicer, making you a key holder with full operational responsibility.
What You'll Do10
- 1Coach the staff to deliver amazing customer service and a Great Big Smile on every order.
- 2Produce high quality food that meets Jersey Mike's standards, including baking bread and all prep.
- 3Enforce policies and procedures, holding the team accountable for cleanliness and sanitation.
- 4Handle cash accurately and follow the Learning Management System training program.
- 5Develop crew members for career growth, fostering a culture of giving and support.
- 6Lead by example in uniform, attitude, and work ethic, setting the standard for the team.
- 7Manage the opening and closing of the store, including key holder duties and security.
- 8Participate in local marketing initiatives to build sales and community presence.
- 9Maintain a restaurant that is noticeably cleaner than others, with proper sanitation.
- 10Communicate effectively with the GM/AGM/DM on any issues, displaying a sense of urgency.
Requirements8
- 1High school degree or equivalent
- 21+ years of QSR experience preferred
- 3Must be 18 years or older to operate the slicer
- 4ServeSafe Food Handler certification
- 5Ability to move or transport up to 50 lbs without assistance
- 6Work 38-40 hours per week with reliable transportation
- 7Proficient in slicing and all positions in the restaurant
- 8Full understanding of accountability and integrity
