What You'll Do6
- 1Build and repair microscopes and optical systems to meet performance specifications
- 2Design and perform routine preventative maintenance on diverse instruments
- 3Respond to work orders promptly and document service activities in a clear manner
- 4Schedule travel and service appointments, coordinating arrangements within and outside MN
- 5Troubleshoot defective equipment and implement corrective actions with a focus on quality outcomes
- 6Calibrate instruments per ISO-compliant standards and ensure accuracy across devices
Requirements8
- 1High School Diploma required
- 2College, trade school, military, or on the job training in basic mechanical and electronics troubleshooting preferred
- 3Travel is required 50-75% with local and long-distance duties
- 4Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- 5Biomedical background helpful
- 6Previous service experience in microscopes or optics or related fields helpful
- 7Metrology/Dimensional Calibration desirable
- 8Must reside in the Greater Minneapolis/St. Paul area or surrounding suburbs
