Overview
Lödige USA Inc. seeks a Service Technician for its Automated Cargo Handling System at JFK Airport. The role involves mechanical and electrical operation and maintenance with a schedule of 16 hour shifts seven days a week including evenings and weekends. Responsibilities focus on preventative maintenance and reactive repairs while supporting installations and project maintenance across the United States.
What You'll Do7
- 1Work on shift to perform scheduled preventative maintenance including cleaning lubricating parts and inspecting components such as sensors motors and drive belts
- 2Repair or replace parts where applicable and respond to breakdowns to resolve system faults promptly
- 3Understand system operation and troubleshoot issues for the customer operations team efficiently
- 4Complete work order forms and write reports on fault resolution
- 5Correspond with the company's 24/7 German help desk in English
- 6Perform heavy lifting tasks like large motor replacement
- 7Support installation of new projects and maintain material handling systems in other US locations
Requirements5
- 15+ years engineering background with maintenance experience in industrial mechanical systems
- 2Electrical systems knowledge required
- 3Problem solving skills with ability to work independently
