Field Service Technician Automated Conveyors
Overview
Service Technician leading full operation of distribution center conveyors nationwide. Requires skilled individual who can troubleshoot mechanical electrical and programming issues. Must adapt to flexible schedule including early mornings and occasional travel. Candidate should demonstrate commitment to safety compliance and teamwork.
What You'll Do11
- 1Troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical and programming issues related to distribution equipment such as conveyors and related components
- 2Follow daily instructions from Service Manager or Service Crew Leads to dispatch maintain and repair equipment failures
- 3Safely use hand tools power tools welders and specialty equipment daily
- 4Use electrical testing instruments like volt meters and programming terminals to test panel components
- 5Send and receive emails and documentation via smartphone or tablet
- 6Track and maintain company tools and material
- 7Organize work area and clean field materials and tooling
- 8Follow Company Code of Conduct and Safety Policies at all times
- 9Weld using Arc or Mig electric or gas welder
- 10Inspect and drive company service vehicles
- 11Participate in safety related programs and trainings
Requirements11
- 1High school diploma or educational equivalent
- 2Technical schooling preferred
- 3Experience working with conveyor systems or other industrial equipment
- 4Previous electrical and/or mechanical knowledge a plus
- 5Valid driver’s license
- 6Certification to operate forklift scissor lifts boom lifts and other heavy equipment
- 7Ability to receive and respond to after hour service calls
- 8Strong work ethic organized and detail oriented self starter eager to learn
- 9Knowledge of reading and understanding plans wiring diagrams and technical drawings
- 10Clean driving record
- 11Background drug screen and e-verify clearance
