Field Service Technician - Conveyors
Overview
Service Technician leading conveyor system repairs nationwide. Responsible for maintaining operational distribution centers through troubleshooting and fixing mechanical electrical programming issues. Requires flexibility travel and strong safety compliance.
What You'll Do11
- 1Troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical and programming issues related to conveyors
- 2Follow daily instructions from Service Manager to dispatch and repair equipment failures
- 3Safely use hand tools power tools welders and specialty equipment
- 4Test panel components using volt meters and programming terminals
- 5Send and receive emails via smartphone or tablet
- 6Track and maintain company tools and materials
- 7Organize work area and clean field materials
- 8Inspect and drive company service vehicles
- 9Weld using arc or mig electric or gas welding
- 10Drive certified forklifts scissor lifts boom lifts and other heavy equipment
- 11Participate in safety programs and follow company policies
Requirements11
- 1High school diploma or educational equivalent
- 2Technical schooling preferred
- 3Experience with conveyor systems or other industrial equipment
- 4Previous electrical or mechanical knowledge a plus
- 5Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- 6Ability to receive after hour service calls and travel multiple days
- 7Certification for operating heavy equipment as required
- 8Strong work ethic organized and detail oriented
- 9Knowledge of reading plans wiring diagrams and technical drawings
- 10Familiarity with smart phone or tablet communication
- 11Physical stamina to stand twelve hours and lift fifty pounds
