The Service Manager leads a team across 21 Southwest facilities to maximize service department efficiency revenue and customer satisfaction. This role drives operational excellence through strategic oversight of technicians and partnerships with parts departments.
What You'll Do9
- 1Manage technician performance through daily DVI scanning and accurate repair order completion
- 2Submit PM forms to customers within 24 hours of service completion
- 3Track after hours calls and manage technician scheduling
- 4Maintain rail yard safety protocols including lockout tags and reflective gear
- 5Schedule services and coordinate customer follow-ups
- 6Handle warranty repairs and foster a safety-first culture
- 7Run open repair orders while collaborating with parts departments
- 8Perform daily yard checks and organize workflows
- 9Drive improvements in productivity and service quality
Requirements6
- 13-5 years experience in transport refrigeration heavy duty truck trailer service
- 2Mechanical aptitude and strong technical knowledge of refrigeration systems
- 3Excellent communication and organizational skills
- 4Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- 5Blue Flag certification and safety equipment compliance
- 6Passport physical examination required
