Overview
Own the dining room at La Fontaine Restaurant, where you manage the pulse of every service. Work directly with chefs and bartenders to deliver memorable meals. The role anchors the front-of-house team, serving 3-5 tables per shift. You shape the guest experience through attentive, professional service. This part-time position offers a direct path to regular shifts and guest loyalty.
What You'll Do9
- 1Prepare dining room tables by setting linens, napkins, and service plates
- 2Guide guests through the menu, offering cocktails, wine pairings, and chef's specialties
- 3Record orders accurately, noting dietary needs and special requests for the kitchen and bar
- 4Deliver dishes and accompaniments from the pass to the table
- 5Open and pour wine tableside with proper technique
- 6Issue bills, process credit card payments, and return change promptly
- 7Clear and reset tables, maintaining a spotless dining area
- 8Address guest concerns immediately, escalating to management when needed
- 9Adhere to sanitation and alcohol service policies at all times
Requirements7
- 11+ year of previous serving or FOH experience
- 2Valid Food Handlers Card
- 3Valid OLCC Certification for alcohol service
- 4Excellent oral communication skills for menu explanations
- 5Positive interpersonal skills for guest interaction
- 6Ability to stand for long periods and carry trays
- 7Flexible availability for lunch and dinner shifts
