Server, Full-Service Restaurant & Wine Program
Overview
You own the full-service guest experience at Postino WineCafe, guiding every order from entry to payment across a high-volume restaurant floor. You work on a tight-knit team delivering authentic hospitality, operating with urgency and calm under pressure. Your role centers on POS accuracy, food and beverage delivery, and check presentation, with space for creative problem-solving. This contract position in Denver offers meal discounts, paid sick leave, and Sommelier certification reimbursement.
What You'll Do9
- 1Guide guests through food and beverage ordering, answering questions and making recommendations
- 2Enter orders accurately into the POS system and confirm details before submission
- 3Deliver completed dishes and drinks to tables with proper presentation and timing
- 4Present checks promptly, process payments, and handle any payment discrepancies
- 5Coordinate with food runners, bussers, and bartenders to ensure guests have everything at all times
- 6Maintain station cleanliness and uphold food safety and hygiene standards
- 7Uphold brand hospitality values, acting as an enthusiastic ambassador for the restaurant
- 8Support teammates during peak service, stepping in where needed
- 9Adapt to fluctuating schedule demands, including weekends and holidays
Requirements7
- 11 year of full-service restaurant experience; combined industry experience considered
- 2State Food Handler’s Certification required
- 3Responsible Alcohol Service Certification required
- 4Flexible schedule covering weekdays, weekends, and holidays, with shifts from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m.
- 5High-school diploma preferred
- 630+ hours per week for full-time, or 30 or less for part-time
- 7Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
