Server, Tiki Cocktails & Upscale Lounge Hospitality
Overview
You will own the guest experience at Tiki Kai, a high-volume Tiki cocktail lounge in Los Angeles, delivering handcrafted drinks and warm hospitality. Join a team of 20+ hospitality professionals across South Bay Hospitality Group's concepts, reporting to the General Manager. This role stands apart by leading with an Aloha-inspired, Guest First philosophy that prioritizes genuine connection over transactional service.
What You'll Do8
- 1Greet guests within 30 seconds of seating, introducing yourself and the Tiki cocktail program.
- 2Serve handcrafted Tiki cocktails, micro-brewed beer, and curated wine with precision and speed.
- 3Memorize the full menu, including ingredients and stories behind each signature drink, to make personalized recommendations.
- 4Coordinate with bar and kitchen teams to time food and drink delivery within 5 minutes of order.
- 5Handle guest feedback with grace, resolving issues on the spot to turn dissatisfaction into loyalty.
- 6Maintain a spotless, stocked service station throughout your shift, complying with health and safety codes.
- 7Upsell appetizers and premium spirits, boosting average check size by 15% in your first quarter.
- 8Train new servers on Tiki culture and service standards during their first two weeks.
Requirements7
- 12+ years serving in upscale casual, lounge, or cocktail-driven environments.
- 2Strong knowledge of handcrafted cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
- 3Proven ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure in a high-volume setting.
- 4Warm, outgoing personality with a genuine passion for guest connection.
- 5Must be able to stand for 8+ hours and lift up to 30 pounds regularly.
- 6Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- 7Current Food Handler certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
