What You'll Do11

  • 1Communicate effectively with participants families and staff
  • 2Operate various organization vehicles under coordinator approval
  • 3Deliver participants using wheelchair lifts and tie down equipment
  • 4Follow scheduled routes and adjust for emergencies
  • 5Inspect and maintain vans ensuring cleanliness and safety
  • 6Report maintenance needs and complete daily check off sheets
  • 7Assist participants with safe boarding and exiting
  • 8Maintain accurate fuel receipts and documentation
  • 9Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning
  • 10Adhere to strict driving record and licensing requirements
  • 11Meet physical demands including standing bending reaching and walking

Requirements9

  • 1Valid NC Driver's License with clean record and no major moving violations
  • 2Minimum 1 year experience with frail elderly population
  • 3High School Diploma or GED
  • 4Ability to lift and secure wheelchairs
  • 5Bilingual communication skills preferred
  • 6Strong knowledge of ADA compliant vehicles
  • 7Experience with manifest software and route optimization
  • 8Certification in Transportation Safety
  • 9Valid immunization records for communicable diseases
