InnovAge Driver – Participant Care
Overview
Drive vehicles safely and responsibly while delivering meals and supplies to participants. Ensure proper handling of participant loads and assist with daily activities. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and coordinate with dispatch. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support senior care programs. Seeking a driver with strong defensive driving skills and experience transporting elderly individuals.
What You'll Do9
- 1Drive vehicles safely using defensive driving techniques and adhere to InnovAge policies and assigned routes
- 2Load and unload participants from vehicles and assist them with mobility assistance as needed
- 3Deliver in-home meals supplies and medications to participants while verifying correct parcel distribution
- 4Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any issues to the fleet manager
- 5Update dispatch regarding route events and participant status
- 6Assist other drivers with loading and unloading participants at centers
- 7Participate in care planning for PACE program participants alongside interdisciplinary teams
- 8Coordinate van maintenance scheduling with the transportation manager
- 9Support physical facility access and participant transport logistics
Requirements5
- 1Valid California commercial driver’s license with passenger endorsement or equivalent license in Florida
- 2Minimum 5 years of professional driving experience with focus on elderly or special needs populations
- 3Ability to lift 75 pounds for loading/unloading participants
- 4Current medical examiner’s certificate as required by state regulations
- 5High school diploma or GED accepted with relevant experience substituting for diploma
