Senior Staff Network Architect Crusoe
Overview
Crusoe seeks a Senior Staff Network Architect to define and evolve network architecture across its infrastructure stack from bare-metal data center switching fabrics to SDN control planes and cloud-layer overlays. This high-impact role reports to the Director of Networking and drives the design of network solutions for a 1.2 GW hyperscale campus. The position focuses on scaling modern networking paradigms and mentoring senior engineers.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design and implement network architecture for AI data centers including spine-leaf fabrics and RDMA interconnects
- 2Develop intent-based networking frameworks that generate validated device configurations
- 3Establish a GitOps-driven automation pipeline using infrastructure-as-code tools
- 4Maintain a network source of truth for IPAM DCIM and CMDB data
- 5Build day-zero automation using Ansible Nornir or Terraform
- 6Implement streaming telemetry architecture for real-time observability
- 7Contribute to architectural standards and lead design reviews
- 8Mentor mid-level and senior network engineers
- 9Partner with software teams to deploy and manage network designs
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading cross-functional network initiatives
- 38+ years progressive network engineering experience
- 41000+ switch design or operation at multi-site environments
- 5Strong routing knowledge including BGP EVPN VXLAN OSPF ECMP
- 6SDN & programmability proficiency with Calico Cilium Flannel
- 7RDMA & HPC networking familiarity with RoCEv2 InfiniBand
- 8Kubernetes networking experience with CNI options
- 9Software engineering fundamentals including Git and CI/CD
- 10Industry background at hyperscaler or AI cloud provider
- 11Hands-on experience with SONiC OS or P4 programmable data planes
