Senior Specialist, Process Improvement, Insurance Operations
Overview
Own and optimize end-to-end processes within Authorization Services to enable scalable, data-driven improvements across the organization. You will collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements, manage plans, and document decisions that shape process redesigns. You will design and implement repeatable tools and change management programs while representing the team in broader company initiatives. This role drives efficiency, cost optimization, and stronger outcomes in health care operations.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and refine process improvement plans that align with strategic goals and monitor milestones to ensure timely delivery
- 2Translate data analysis into actionable insights and visualizations that inform senior leadership decisions
- 3Partner with leaders and cross-functional teams to drive cost reductions and improved outcomes through process redesigns
- 4Lead change management efforts, including proactive communications and risk mitigation across programs
- 5Coordinate projects and processes to meet service levels and operational targets
- 6Maintain relationships with multiple teams to support essential programs and initiatives
- 7Support implementing process improvements and mindset shifts to enhance operational efficiency and performance
- 8Provide analytical support to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and prioritize initiatives based on trends and targets
- 9Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and document decisions and outcomes
- 10Help prepare and present information to senior leadership to gain alignment and buy-in
Requirements10
- 12+ years of experience supporting end-to-end project management and process improvement projects
- 22+ years of experience analyzing workflows to improve efficiency and identify causes of deficiencies with recommendations
- 32+ years of experience in process improvement and workflow design
- 42+ years of experience presenting information and recommendations to Senior Leadership
- 5Experience leading and collaborating with teams to gain agreement on decisions
- 6Bonus points: Prior work in Prior Authorizations or Insurance Operations
- 7Experience using project management and communication tools like JIRA, Slack, and Linear
- 8Experience with healthcare data domains such as ACA marketplace, provider networks, claims, or provider data
- 9Training in Continuous Process Improvement or Lean Six Sigma principles
- 10Experience working with large datasets, data verification, and data management
