Overview
Mashgin seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead development of an in-store camera feed pipeline. This role builds features atop existing camera infrastructure across thousands of stores. You will design and implement end-to-end video ingestion and processing solutions. The position emphasizes practical problem solving over extensive documentation.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design and implement capture ingestion code for store security overhead cameras

Requirements11
- 15+ years relevant coding experience with production delivery track record
- 2Strong Python proficiency and ability to learn other languages as needed
- 3Hands-on experience with video codecs encoding and streaming platforms
- 4Understanding of both edge device code and cloud infrastructure
- 5Portfolio demonstrating zero-based system creation from scratch
- 6Startup experience preferred especially on small teams wearing multiple hats
- 7Familiarity with camera hardware challenges and network variability
- 8Comfortable working closely with ML engineers without ownership of modeling tasks
- 9Knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform and cloud platforms such as AWS
- 10Fluency with AI coding assistants for rapid prototyping
- 11Demonstrated algorithmic thinking and data structure expertise
