
Full Stack Engineer, Media & Entertainment
Overview
You will own the end-to-end delivery of video publishing tools for the Music Videos squad, serving millions of creators on the world's largest audio streaming platform. You will build and scale systems that power how music creators publish, manage, and grow their video presence, working across the stack from Node.js to React. You will join a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and designers, collaborating closely with AWS infrastructure. What You'll Do8
- 1Design and implement full-stack features for the Music Videos squad, from React frontends to Node.js APIs.
- 2Build scalable services on AWS to support video upload, processing, and playback for millions of creators.
- 3Collaborate with product and design teams to ship user-facing features that enhance video creation workflows.
- 4Own and optimize database queries and caching strategies to reduce latency and improve reliability.
- 5Debug and resolve production issues, ensuring high availability of video publishing tools.
- 6Drive the migration of legacy components to modern Kubernetes-based microservices.
- 7Implement observability and monitoring for critical systems, using tools like Datadog and Grafana.
- 8Ship an initial feature within your first 90 days that enables artists to manage video metadata more efficiently.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of professional full-stack development experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- 23+ years building web applications with React and Node.js.
- 32+ years designing and operating services on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda).
- 41+ years working with Kubernetes and Docker in production.
- 5Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
- 6Strong understanding of RESTful API design and GraphQL.
- 7Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- 8Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
