Senior ServiceNow Consultant - Enterprise Implementations
Overview
You will lead design and development of enterprise ServiceNow solutions for government and enterprise clients, translating business needs into scalable implementations. You will drive end-to-end projects from requirements to deployment, working directly with clients and mentoring junior developers. The role demands a blend of technical depth in ServiceNow modules and consulting acumen, with travel to client sites as needed. You will join a growing US practice at NETbuilder, tackling complex platform challenges and shaping best practices.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design, develop, and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, and other modules, owning outcomes from discovery to production.
- 2Lead end-to-end ServiceNow implementations for external clients, defining technical designs and managing stakeholder expectations.
- 3Translate business requirements into robust technical architectures following Configure Before Customize principles, minimizing custom code.
- 4Build and maintain REST API integrations with third-party systems using JSON and XML.
- 5Develop Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, Flow Designer automations, and Service Catalog items.
- 6Improve CMDB, Discovery, and related platform capabilities, ensuring data accuracy and service mapping.
- 7Perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and document solutions for maintainability.
- 8Troubleshoot complex platform issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term fixes.
- 9Mentor junior developers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of quality.
Requirements10
- 15+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- 23+ years in a consulting or professional services environment delivering implementations for external clients.
- 3Strong JavaScript skills within the ServiceNow platform.
- 4Proficiency in Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Flow Designer, UI Policies, and Service Catalog.
- 5Experience building REST API integrations with JSON/XML.
- 6Solid understanding of ServiceNow security: ACLs, Roles, Groups, and field-level controls.
- 7Knowledge of ServiceNow best practices, including Configure Before Customize.
- 8Full SDLC experience from requirements to deployment.
- 9ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD) required.
- 10Preferred: CIS certifications in ITSM, Discovery, ITOM, or SecOps.
