Overview

Biocytogen Boston Corp seeks a Senior Scientist Pharmacology to lead in vivo and in vitro preclinical research in immunology immuno-oncology metabolic disease and neurology. This fast-paced CRO role involves hands-on experimental work and strategic project management to support biotech and pharmaceutical partners. The ideal candidate will engage in client project planning collaborate with BD sales teams and present results to stakeholders.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Design and develop animal models and execute in vivo experiments to evaluate novel therapeutic agents
  • 2Lead in vivo service projects acting as Project Manager or Study Director
  • 3Perform animal handling tumor inoculation drug administration and PK/PD studies
  • 4Develop and execute internal model-building projects characterizing humanized mouse models
  • 5Provide troubleshooting support and technical guidance to junior associates
  • 6Collaborate with BD/Sales team for client project planning and technical discussions
  • 7Present project results to clients and internal stakeholders preparing scientific reports
  • 8Mentor and facilitate growth of junior research associates
  • 9Independently develop validate and perform in vitro and ex vivo assays including immune cell profiling functional assays and cytokine profiling
  • 10Contribute to in vivo study design from an in vitro perspective
  • 11Adapt methodologies from literature and internal teams to develop new assay technologies

Requirements9

  • 1PhD in pharmacology immunology cancer biology or related biomedical field
  • 2Extensive hands-on experience in animal models and preclinical in vivo pharmacology
  • 3Proven skills in cell-based immunological assays T cell activation NK cell cytotoxicity and macrophage functional assays
  • 4Expertise in PK/PD model establishment and analysis
  • 5Experience with flow cytometry cytokine profiling ELISA qRT-PCR and multiplex assays
  • 6Surgical procedures in rodents are highly desirable
  • 7Cross-functional knowledge across therapeutic areas is a plus
  • 8Strong communication organizational and team collaboration skills
  • 9Ability to independently manage projects and work with cross-functional teams
