Overview
You own the design and optimization of SCADA systems for manufacturing clients across Oregon, modernizing Rockwell FactoryTalk architectures to high-availability standards. You will lead integration across PLC, HMI, and SCADA layers, scaling systems from single-line to plant-wide deployments. Working onsite in Portland, you join a team of automation specialists tackling brownfield and greenfield projects. This role stands out for its focus on redundancy and system modernization, not just routine support.
What You'll Do6
- 1Design and deploy SCADA architectures with Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE/ME, ensuring redundancy and high availability.
- 2Modernize legacy automation systems, upgrading FactoryTalk platforms and integrating current EtherNet/IP and Modbus networks.
- 3Integrate PLC and HMI layers with SCADA to deliver scalable, real-time visibility.
- 4Develop and configure FactoryTalk Architecture and Administration, including disaster recovery.
- 5Troubleshoot and resolve communication issues across OPC UA, Profinet, and Modbus protocols.
- 6Own system documentation and operator training, facilitating seamless handoffs within 90 days.
Requirements6
- 15+ years in SCADA and HMI development, with strong Rockwell FactoryTalk expertise.
- 2Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and integrating them with FactoryTalk systems.
- 3Deep knowledge of industrial protocols: EtherNet/IP, Modbus, OPC UA, Profinet.
- 4Proven track record optimizing SCADA architecture, redundancy, and high availability.
- 5Hands-on experience with system upgradation and modernization in manufacturing environments.
- 6Strong problem-solving skills in manufacturing systems and process control.
