What You'll Do11
- 1Investigate origin and cause of claims by contacting insureds claimants agents attorneys contractors experts special investigation unit other adjusters public personnel
- 2Identify complex issues and seek assistance as needed
- 3Conduct on-site inspections evaluate damages and handle claim negotiations with insureds claimants attorneys public adjusters
- 4Respond to customer inquiries make appropriate decisions and close files as needed
- 5Interpret and determine policies leases by-laws declarations articles and contract coverages apply to all parties for assigned losses
- 6Make independent decisions self-supervise files and recognize when assistance is needed
- 7Proactively provide claim process and status updates answer questions and serve as mentor for less experienced adjusters
- 8Complete additional assignments job duties or participate in projects based on skills achievements or experience
- 9Travel up to 50% of time with potential catastrophe travel up to 75%
- 10Climb ascend or descend ladders stairs scaffolding ramps poles and similar structures
- 11Adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in various environments
Requirements8
- 1Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- 2State-specific property casualty claims licensing required
- 3Experience handling 1st and 3rd party multi-line claims
- 4Extensive knowledge of policies endorsements and claim handling phases
- 5Ability to perform physical tasks including hazardous environments poor ventilation small enclosed spaces
- 6Demonstrated experience with customer driven solutions and claim negotiations
- 7Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
- 8Reliability and ability to work independently
