Overview

Lead complex multi-faceted projects supporting business process improvements across the Faculty Practice Group and UCLA Health system. Report to the Manager of the Program & Project Management Office. Collaborate with executive leaders operational teams and clinical partners to implement best practices streamline processes and deliver measurable results. This high-impact role contributes directly to advancing UCLA Health’s mission of delivering world-class patient care and innovation.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Lead and manage complex projects and programs across departments to drive operational efficiency and organizational improvement
  • 2Oversee all phases of project management including planning execution monitoring and delivery of key outcomes
  • 3Develop and maintain project documentation risk assessments and performance metrics
  • 4Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication across diverse teams ensuring transparency and alignment
  • 5Apply change management methodologies to support adoption and sustainability of new processes and initiatives
  • 6Mentor project management team members promoting a culture of collaboration learning and excellence
  • 7Lead regular team meetings establishing clear goals and objectives informing stakeholders of project status changes and strategic priorities
  • 8Mentors project management staff fostering continuous improvement aligning with organizational goals and standards

Requirements16

  • 1Minimum 8 years of healthcare administrative and or project management experience
  • 2Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • 3Advanced knowledge of project management principles theories and concepts
  • 4Demonstrated attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • 5Proven ability to determine relevance and prioritize tasks
  • 6Advanced organizational and project management skills
  • 7Advanced communication skills effective verbal writing abilities
  • 8Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization including senior leadership
  • 9Competency in selecting and implementing project management methods and techniques tailored to unique project circumstances
  • 10Proven leadership ability effective problem solving persuasive recommendation development integration of critical information across disciplines understanding of business strategy alignment
  • 11Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 12Master's degree in MPH MHA MBA or related field
  • 13Experience managing IT projects
  • 14Experience managing healthcare projects
  • 15Previous employment at a health plan especially Medicare Advantage health plan
  • 16Lean Six Sigma certification
