- 1Promote safety culture and apply safety concepts into process design
- 2Review and approve all process engineering deliverables
- 3Validate professional service estimates at project start and track changes
- 4Produce estimates according to Hargrove standards for projects and proposals
- 5Establish design criteria incorporating client requirements and applicable standards
- 6Ensure permitting requirements are established and communicated
- 7Develop process engineering standards, specifications, guidelines, and procedures
- 8Plan and organize project team work for large and medium capital projects
- 9Communicate plans to team project leadership and clients
- 10Maintain performance budgets, schedules, and quality standards
- 11Utilize project control tools for tracking progress
- 12Delegate work based on technical skills and follow up for support
- 13Consult with design leaders from other disciplines for interdisciplinary alignment
- 14Produce estimate-level preliminary designs for major capital projects
- 15Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for efficient solutions
- 16Familiarity with industry and department standards and guidelines
- 17Prepare detailed design calculations and drawings organized for efficient checking
- 18Use drafters/designers efficiently for drawing development
- 19Ensure designs meet client specifications and expectations
- 20Check calculations, reports, and studies for accuracy and code conformance
- 21Produce equipment and construction specifications
- 22Monitor drawings to ensure conformance to calculations and specs
- 23Assist designers in resolving routine layout and detailing problems
- 24Provide sufficient information for engineering drawing completion
- 25Review vendor and discipline information for process engineering input
- 26Develop bid packages for procurement of equipment and materials
- 27Participate in professional society meetings and sales activities
- 28Travel for client presentations and project tasks
- 29Mentor less experienced process engineers
- 30Conduct resume reviews, interviews, and evaluations
- 31Identify work sharing packages for interoffice execution support
- 32Provide leadership to ensure communication and execution within scope, schedule, and budget
- 33Require Bachelor or Master of Science in Chemical Mechanical Biochemical or Petroleum Engineering
- 34Register with Professional Engineering or hold CPIP certification
- 35Have 10 years of relevant industrial experience in chemical petroleum or biochemical process design
- 36Train others in process safety and site safety requirements
- 37Know specifications and installation details of equipment instrumentation and piping
- 38Create accurate process engineering documents from vendor data and drawings
- 39Estimate task completion and assess progress and quality
- 40Develop design criteria and scope of work for major capital projects
- 41Apply understanding of skills and experience required for process engineering
- 42Follow company engineering design and CAD drafting standards
- 43Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- 44Know hydraulic simulation software such as AFT Fathom AFT Arrow PIPEPHASE PIPE-FLO and/or SiNet
- 45Know process simulation software such as Aspen Plus Aspen Dynamics PRO/II DYNSIM HYSYS CHEMCAD WinGEMS ProMax
- 46Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 47Willing to travel for pre-bid meetings client presentations and site meetings
- 48Virtual team skills and cross divisional relationships
- 49Ability to sit stand or walk for long periods

- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading process engineering teams
- 310 years of relevant industrial experience in chemical petroleum or biochemical process design
- 4Professional Engineering registration or CPIP certification
- 5Bachelor or Master of Science in Chemical Mechanical Biochemical or Petroleum Engineering
- 6Physical ability to sit stand or walk for long periods
- 7Comfortable with virtual collaboration and cross divisional teamwork
- 8Strong knowledge of industry and department standards guidelines
- 9Experience creating accurate process engineering documents from vendor data and drawings
- 10Proficiency in using Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
