Mechanical & Piping Technical Specialist
Overview
Lead Designer overseeing mechanical and piping teams at Hargrove and Associates, Inc. Responsible for delivering complex design assignments while ensuring quality and adherence to performance budgets. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff.
What You'll Do11
- 1Utilize advanced design tools and standards to produce mechanical and piping installations

- 4Perform on-site startup assistance and quality verification
- 5Develop construction cost estimates and engineering schedules
- 6Review and approve P&ID and GA documentation
- 7Consult with design leaders to integrate multidisciplinary requirements
- 8Participate in training program development and professional growth initiatives
- 9Analyze calculation accuracy and code compliance for peer-reviewed designs
- 10Delegate tasks based on team member capabilities and follow up for support
- 11Present findings and solutions to stakeholders
Requirements11
- 1Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting
- 2SPED Certification preferred
- 315+ years of mechanical/piping drafting and design experience
- 4Expertise in piping materials and system design
- 5Proficiency in manual valve sizing and application
- 6Knowledge of compressible fluid piping sizing techniques
- 7Ability to specify steam traps and safety valves
- 8Experience with 2D AutoCAD and Microstation software
- 9Strong presentation and virtual collaboration skills
- 10Physical stamina for extended periods of sitting or standing
- 11Commitment to team mentorship and professional development
