Piping Designer III
Overview
System One is seeking a high-caliber Piping Designer to join an engineering team in Hookstown, PA for a nuclear project. This contract position requires onsite work and offers DOE compensation. The successful candidate will own project deliverables and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet contractual obligations.
What You'll Do11
- 1Implement assignments delegated from the Group Supervisor
- 2Execute project objectives with drafters and engineers on planning and quality
- 3Manage deliverables such as construction drawings and design studies
- 4Schedule work assignments while guiding staff on medium-sized projects
- 5Coordinate client and construction personnel to address requirements
- 6Prepare estimates and documentation related to projects
- 7Assist in estimating design and drafting manpower needs
- 8Approve final drawings for code compliance and discipline standards
- 9Maintain engineering document indices and progress reports
- 10Confirm vendor shop drawing approvals
- 11Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements11
- 1High School diploma or Associates Degree with drafting courses
- 2Minimum 10+ years piping design experience in power energy or chemicals
- 3Understanding of technical disciplines and project execution
- 4Strong CAD skills with AutoCad Microstation or Revit experience
- 5Preferred Plant 3D and/or Aveva E3D
- 6Chemical/Refinery/Power/LNG background
- 7Supervision and mentoring abilities
- 8Research, analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- 9Ability to communicate effectively and independently organize work
- 10Proficiency in CADWorx Navisworks and Microsoft Office
- 11Knowledge of System One subsidiaries Joulé and Mountain Ltd.
