Own mechanical/piping design for industrial projects at Hargrove, delivering complete P&ID, GA, and installation drawings for 4+ years of experience in AutoCAD and Microstation. What You'll Do8
- 1Design moderately complex piping drawings from P&IDs, GAs, and equipment specifications using AutoCAD and Microstation.
- 2Perform field design work to verify conditions, locate new systems, and coordinate with client personnel.
- 3Prepare material take-offs from piping drawings for procurement and construction.
- 4Plan and manage site design activities to meet project milestones and deadlines.
- 5Recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly to the project team.
- 6Provide on-site assistance during startup, troubleshooting piping systems as needed.
- 7Apply knowledge of piping materials, supports, and restraints in design solutions.
- 8Draft P&IDs and GAs, and design piping for pumps, tanks, control valve stations, and inline instrumentation.
Requirements10
- 1Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting.
- 24+ years of industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.
- 3Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and Microstation for piping design.
- 4Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- 5Knowledge of piping materials, supports, and restraints, including flexibility analysis.
- 6Familiarity with manual valve sizing, use, and application in process systems.
- 7Understanding of workflow between disciplines and schedule constraints for deliverables.
- 8Ability to create accurate installation documents from vendor equipment drawings.
- 9Effective verbal and written communication, with strong presentation skills.
- 10Physical ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods.
