What You'll Do10
- 1Own the Data Foundation: Be the point person for pipelines and integrations that ingest, reconcile, and maintain first- and third-party data.
- 2Orchestrate Workflows: Contribute to our data orchestration layer, ensuring ETL pipelines and data workflows are reproducible, traceable, secure, and isolated for multi-tenant environments.
- 3Enhance Observability: Build and improve observability and monitoring across infrastructure, applications, and data systems.
- 4Own the Cloud Foundation: Operate, evolve, and architect our AWS-based cloud environment, balancing reliability, security, cost, and developer velocity as we scale.
- 5Infrastructure as Code: Build and maintain scalable infrastructure using Terraform, establishing robust approaches to state management.
- 6Harden Environments: Lead technical implementation of cloud security and compliance requirements (HIPAA), embedding security throughout the software development lifecycle.
- 7Accelerate Engineering: Own build tooling and CI/CD workflows that move code from idea to production.
- 8Build AI-Native Tooling: Create systems for automated development, bug triage, and validation.
- 9Design Verification Environments: Partner with product and engineering teams to identify bottlenecks and turn them into reusable abstractions.
- 10Partner with Product Teams: Identify repeated bottlenecks and turn them into durable platform primitives.
Requirements5
- 15+ years of full-time experience in backend platform product infrastructure engineering
- 2Strong coding abilities with deep expertise in Python
- 3Deep expertise designing and operating production environments on AWS and mastering Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
- 4AI-Native Mindset: Use AI tools and understand how they change software development cycles
- 5Security-First Approach: Track record of hardening cloud infrastructure and supporting security compliance initiatives ideal for healthcare
