Senior People Partner - Engineering
Overview
Own the people strategy for Snowflake's Engineering organization as a trusted advisor to VP+ leaders, shaping how world-class teams scale in the era of the agentic enterprise. You will drive organizational design, talent assessment, succession planning, and retention efforts that underpin the company's rapid growth. Collaborating with Engineering leadership, the broader People Partner team, and People Centers of Excellence, you will transform business priorities into integrated people strategies. This role stands apart for its focus on applying AI and data-driven insights to reinvent People practices, with a hybrid work model requiring three days in-office in Bellevue, WA or Menlo Park, CA.
What You'll Do9
- 1Serve as a trusted advisor to Engineering leadership, delivering candid, data-driven counsel on organizational, talent, and leadership decisions within the first 90 days.
- 2Translate business priorities into a clear, integrated people strategy covering organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, and leadership development.
- 3Lead high-impact initiatives in organizational design, talent assessment, succession planning, and retention strategies to support Engineering scale.
- 4Coach Engineering leaders to elevate leadership effectiveness, team performance, and organizational health in a fast-moving AI-centric environment.
- 5Guide teams through growth and transformation, helping leaders navigate ambiguity while sustaining momentum and engagement.
- 6Partner with People Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions tailored to Engineering needs.
- 7Apply data, insights, and emerging AI capabilities to improve decision-making, scale impact, and evolve People practices.
- 8Assess organizational health and deliver clear, actionable insights across engagement, performance, attrition, and diversity.
- 9Contribute to broader People Partner initiatives, shaping how Snowflake supports technical organizations globally.
Requirements10
- 18+ years of progressive HR/People experience, including direct support of VP+ leaders.
- 2Strong experience partnering with Engineering organizations, with a clear understanding of technical talent, team structures, and operating models.
- 3Proven ability to build credibility and influence Engineering leadership.
- 4Demonstrated success in fast-paced, high-growth technology environments.
- 5Strong business and data acumen, with the ability to translate insights into clear recommendations and actions.
- 6Experience leading organizational design, talent strategy, and leadership development initiatives.
- 7Track record of partnering effectively with COEs to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions.
- 8Curiosity and applied interest in AI and emerging technologies, particularly in how they shape talent and organizations.
- 9Exceptional communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
- 10Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
