Senior Pension Administration System Consultant, Fairfax VA
Overview
As a Senior Pension Administration System (PAS) Consultant, you will lead the assessment, replacement planning, procurement, and implementation of a new PAS for Fairfax County. You will evaluate the current PAS environment, identify workflow and system gaps, and develop comprehensive business and technical requirements. Collaborating with FCRS stakeholders, you will support vendor selection and implementation, ensuring a seamless transition. This role offers the opportunity to drive a critical system transformation with objective, independent consulting.
What You'll Do8
- 1Conduct an information systems analysis of FCRS business operations, assessing the existing PAS and its ability to support member-service needs.
- 2Review staff workflows and system capabilities to identify gaps between business processes and current PAS functionality.
- 3Develop detailed business requirements for FCRS's future operations and technical requirements for the replacement PAS.
- 4Translate business-process gaps into future-state system requirements and create comprehensive procurement specifications.
- 5Support FCRS throughout the PAS procurement process, including vendor selection and objective consulting guidance.
- 6Assist with implementation of the selected PAS, coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring alignment with project phases.
- 7Provide implementation oversight, project management, and quality assurance support when retained for the optional phase.
- 8Ensure no conflicts of interest by maintaining independence from PAS vendors.
Requirements7
- 15+ years experience with public-sector pension systems and public retirement administration.
- 25+ years experience with enterprise system or ERP replacements.
- 35+ years experience performing business and technical requirements analysis.
- 45+ years experience evaluating existing systems and business workflows.
- 55+ years experience supporting system procurement and vendor selection.
- 65+ years experience supporting enterprise system implementation.
- 7Ability to provide recent, relevant experience with the subject matter of the contract.
