Senior Manager Safety & Security Training Programs
Overview
Leads the Safety Security and Control Center Training Programs team to provide strategic support to all stakeholder departments. Develops and delivers employee training programs aligned with department and Authority goals. Manages training initiatives and ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and other legal standards. Drives continuous improvement through industry best practices and innovative instructional design. Oversees Train-the-Trainer sessions and aligns Control Center trainings with the Authority's Safety Management System. Maintains certifications for diverse training topics and conducts quality assurance reviews. Hires and mentors staff while fostering a collaborative and safe work environment.
What You'll Do11
- 1Manage the Safety Security and Control Center Training team to deliver strategic support across all Authority departments
- 2Oversee delivery of OSHA compliant safety security and Control Center training programs
- 3Conduct needs analysis and develop objectives for effective training initiatives
- 4Ensure all programs align with the Authority's Safety Management System and regulatory standards
- 5Maintain certifications for specialized trainings including OSHA 10 hour and 30 hour fall protection and confined space
- 6Perform quality assurance checks and lead post-training reviews of program outcomes
- 7Develop long-term strategic plans for training resource allocation and future opportunities
- 8Direct staff development and evaluate performance through regular assessments
- 9Collaborate with field locations to address operational safety and security training needs
- 10Implement learning technologies to enhance training delivery and engagement
- 11Hire trainers and provide coaching for initial and refresher programs
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in Occupational Applied Science Engineering Occupational Health Safety Education Environmental Health and Safety Industrial Hygienist Emergency Management or Safety Management
- 2BCSP credentials or related field experience with four years in training and instructional design
- 3FEMA ICS 100 200 300 and 400 IS700 and 800 completion required
- 4OSHA Authorized General Industry and Construction Trainer preferred with OSHA 10 and 30 completion
- 5Fall Protection and Qualified Person certifications preferred
- 6Valid Illinois driver's license required
- 7Experience facilitating training using industry best practices and techniques
- 8Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments
- 9Strong project management and leadership skills
- 10Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office suite and training development software
- 11Commitment to confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately
