Senior Manager Organizational Development Job, Dow Jones NYC
Overview
You will shape Dow Jones' organizational effectiveness strategy by leading business transformation consulting, organizational design, and strategic change management. You will report to the Director, Organization Development and partner with People Business Partners and senior leaders on high-impact initiatives. You will also support the evolution of our Change Management Center of Excellence (COE), leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies. This role demands a blend of strategic consulting and hands-on execution in complex organizational design and team effectiveness, with a focus on future-ready workforce planning. You will drive measurable improvements in organizational health and culture integration across the enterprise.
What You'll Do9
- 1Partner with Talent Management & Development to design and implement an integrated Talent strategy that aligns with corporate goals.
- 2Lead complex organizational design and operating model projects to align structure and capabilities with business strategy.
- 3Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to accelerate organizational diagnostic capabilities and enhance effectiveness delivery.
- 4Apply scenario modeling to evaluate design options, forecast workforce needs, and mitigate transformation risks.
- 5Assess organizational health with People Partners and executives to design future-ready teams.
- 6Design and facilitate interventions that enhance team effectiveness, collaboration, and decision-making at leadership and enterprise levels.
- 7Establish and support the Change Management Center of Excellence (COE) to standardize methodologies, AI-driven tools, and metrics.
- 8Monitor external trends in business transformation, generative AI in HR/OD, and change leadership to improve OD practices.
- 9Develop frameworks and measures for organizational health.
Requirements12
- 1Willingness to work in our midtown Manhattan office 3 days every week.
- 2Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, HR, or related field preferred, or equivalent education or related experience.
- 310+ years of progressive experience in Organizational Development, with demonstrated expertise in organizational design, change management, and leadership consulting.
- 4Strong understanding of organizational development, design methodologies, strategic workforce planning, and change management best practices, with experience translating these into practical application.
- 5Demonstrated ability to leverage AI applications and advanced technologies to streamline workflow, analyze organizational data, and improve effectiveness delivery.
- 6Deep commercial and operational acumen, with a proven track record of translating business performance metrics into target operating models.
- 7Proven track record designing and delivering large-scale, cross-departmental programs, strategic change initiatives, and culture transformations.
- 8Experience collecting, assimilating, and analyzing data, then using insights to take action.
- 9Experience managing projects/programs in an internal or external consulting role is preferred.
- 10Strong communication, presentation/facilitation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact at all levels in the organization.
- 11Strong consultative, facilitation, and diagnostic skills.
- 12Experience in M&A organizational design and integration is preferred, but not required.
Salary Insight
$140 - $165k per year
