Overview

Own strategic growth initiatives for Versant's Digital Platforms and Ventures (DPV) portfolio, including Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, and GolfPass. Work directly with the CEO and Chief Revenue & Business Officer to drive resource allocation and identify acquisition, partnership, and organic growth opportunities. Collaborate with leaders across sports, entertainment, and digital platforms to evaluate deals and shape long-term strategy. This role offers high visibility and direct exposure to executive decision-making at a Nasdaq-listed media company.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Build and maintain detailed financial models covering deal economics, valuations, and forecasts for DPV opportunities.
  • 2Evaluate strategic initiatives across sports and entertainment, including content and media rights acquisitions, partnerships, and M&A.
  • 3Prepare presentations and participate in executive-level discussions on growth opportunities and resource allocation.
  • 4Coordinate with ad sales, finance, programming, production, digital, marketing, and legal teams to support deal execution.
  • 5Identify new revenue opportunities and analyze potential target acquisitions and partners aligned with strategic goals.
  • 6Perform financial, strategic, and operational diligence on potential deals as part of a cross-functional deal team.
  • 7Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in media to inform strategic recommendations.

Requirements7

  • 12+ years in investment banking, consulting, corporate strategy, or business development at a media, entertainment, or tech company.
  • 2Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or related field.
  • 3Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • 4Exceptional attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • 5Ability to perform under high-pressure situations and tight deadlines.
  • 6General understanding of and passion for the media industry, particularly sports and entertainment.
  • 7Humble, positive, team-first mentality with a desire to learn and improve daily.
