Senior Financial Analyst, Games Finance
Overview
You will own financial planning and analysis for Disney's games portfolio, including mobile, console, PC, and the strategic Epic Games partnership. You will build title-level models and provide insights that drive decisions on licensing, marketing, and investments. Reporting to the DE Games Finance team, you will partner with business development, product, creative, and regional finance. You will shape the financial narrative for the Disney Universe and emerging opportunities. This role offers exposure to executive leadership and the chance to influence strategy in a high-growth segment.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build and maintain title-level and portfolio-level financial models for mobile, console, PC, and emerging ecosystem opportunities.
- 2Update the Disney Universe financial model, evaluating the impact of key assumptions, deal terms, and commercial levers.
- 3Drive variance analysis and KPI reporting, delivering clear financial commentary to business partners and senior leadership.
- 4Partner with Games business development, strategy, product, and regional finance to align on assumptions, release timing, and deal economics.
- 5Consolidate AOP, forecasts, and long-range plans, including roll-forward analysis and scenario modeling.
- 6Automate reporting and improve FP&A processes using Excel, Power BI, and Cognos/TM1.
- 7Support ad hoc analysis on title performance, deal support, return analysis, and portfolio prioritization for leadership.
Requirements9
- 13+ years in finance, accounting, strategic planning, or FP&A; media, entertainment, games, or technology preferred.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- 3Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis skills.
- 4Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for executive-ready presentations.
- 5Experience with financial systems such as Cognos TM1 or SAP/HANA; Power BI preferred.
- 6Ability to synthesize large datasets and communicate insights to finance and non-finance audiences.
- 7Excellent organizational skills, managing tight deadlines with accuracy.
- 8Curiosity about games, licensing, live services, and platform dynamics.
- 9Preferred: MBA or CPA; SQL, Python, or statistical packages; AI tools like Co-Pilot or ChatGPT.
