What You'll Do11
- 1Perform overall financial management of grants and contracts including monitoring direct charges
- 2Process expenditures on a timely basis and work with researchers and campus departments
- 3Track spending against budget and verify accuracy of departmental forms and journal entries
- 4Prepare financial spending reports for federal sponsors using different formats
- 5Setup new grants in PeopleSoft to enable spending by researchers
- 6Develop ad hoc financial projections for grant spending and recommend process improvements
- 7Create internal training programs and assist researchers in award management
- 8Maintain compliance with financial regulations and institutional policies
- 9Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes
- 10Ensure timely collection of invoices and sponsor payments
- 11Provide guidance on allowable expenses and cost allocation
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 2Minimum of five years of accounting experience
- 3Experience managing grant budgets and spending
- 4Familiarity with PeopleSoft financial systems
- 5Strong understanding of grant compliance requirements
- 6Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
- 7Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- 8Experience with Excel and financial software
- 9Knowledge of nonprofit financial practices
